Hawk Creek Renaissance Festival

Breetz pets a turtle.
2 owls fly free for the first time.
We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch under the trees on the hood of the car.
After we decided to visit the boy's great great aunt.
Playing with swords made from newspaper.
Breetz loved the had his aunt crocheted for him.

Breetz's Birthday

Homemade dairy and soy free frosting.
Licking the bowl.
Breetz and I enjoyed our pizza topped with dairy and soy free cheese.

Maple Syrup Festival At Sugarbush Hollow

Gio loved his pancake breakfast so much he was licking the plate.
I thought this stump looked like a person laying on his back with arms and legs outstretched.

The boys decided to get a climb up and get a closer look at the pipelines.

We saw some green moss and ferns peeking out from the dry leaves but no other signs of spring.
.
The main pipeline that carries the sap to the sugar shack.

The sugar shack. Check out all that steam. It takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup!
Here is a display of the tools that were used in the olden days. At one time the sap was cooked down in this huge metal pot and sap was collected in the metal pails next to the red back pack.
