Corn Husk Doll

Decided to make corn husk dolls for the boys. Well, we have made one and it took us about 4 hours (including breaks) to make him. It was well worth it though.
Before I could take a picture of him and his doll he needed to grab a piece of corn husk and wrap it around the bottom of the doll so he could have a horse and the pretzel stick is a sword. FWI we are into knights right now. If anyone knows of any good books about knights for children Please let me know.

Cauliflower

Breetz was so excited about cutting cauliflower. He stayed at it for quite sometime. Gio cuts up veggies every week at school and was less enthused. He is using a what I have heard referred to as a "pumpkin cutting knife"
.

Fire Truck Cake

We recently attended a birthday party. There are usually a lot of not very healthy foods associated with birthday parties. We were happy there was none of that here. The children enjoyed this beautiful and creative train cake made with organic fruits. All the children were so excited about it. For the adults there was a very simple box cake without frosting.

Grilling

We have been doing a lot of grilling lately. The meat usually lasts us the week but when we grill italian sausage it never lasts for long. Gio has asked to have his plate filled with only italian sausage. They also love grilled corn on the cob.
