I believe it was the day after lent Gio's preschool had a dish to pass simple meal. Each family was to bring a dish that might be served in a less fortunate country. We brought Guatemalan beans which were a big hit. Another family brought a rice, beans, and corn dish which was very good. Everyone else brought fruit. We also brought jack fruit and lychees and no one knew what they were. I am so glad I have some knowledge of other cultures and also glad that Gio attends a preschool that is trying to teach cultural awareness in a "nonpolitacally correct" way.
My two sons are the lights of my life. I love watching them grow and learn. It's fun documenting our lives together here to share with friends and family.

Wow, what a interesting event "simpe meal" was. It is good to know that a preschool is trying to introduce other culture to its students.
Did you make the hat by yourself?
Next year I will make sure to go, it looks like everyone had a good time mom
Gio made the hat at preschool. They do a lot of crafts.
Gio does look forward to you attending his events. He loves spending time with his nana and Breetz does too:).
