My two sons are the lights of my life. I love watching them grow and learn. It's fun documenting our lives together here to share with friends and family.
Aunt Doris collects magnets and frogs. Gio still says " Aunt Doris has lots of frogs." She has quite the green thumb. Most of my house plants she gave to me from cuttings. Her christmas cactuses are the biggest I have ever seen.
Playing with the boys.
Her house is filled with all kinds of neat stuff. Breetz was intrigued by the face on this table. She told me it was given to her by her Father.
Breetz now holds his own bottle.
Playing with "Bob Builder things"
Both Aunt Doris and Gio think quite a lot of each other.
Aunt Doris' property is very senic. This photo just doesn't do it justice. She told me that just the evening before she had seen 12 deer in the field.
Both boys ended up with two baskets. One from Nana & Abuelo and one from Mom and Dad. Gio was only mildly interested in the basket as a whole. He found two "Bob Builder Things" in there. He was so excited about the first one he ran down stairs to have Abuelo open it with his tools. After it was open he ran up to get the other one so Abuelo could open the thatone too.
Gio's dream of Abuelo opening his Bob Builder toys comes to fruishion. He had been talking about getting bob Builder toys for Easter and having Abuelo open them with his screw driver for days.
This purple basket of healthy toy foods was Breetz's favorite gift. He had a great deal of fun just carrying it around.
Breetz and Dad checking out what's in his Easter baskets.
Hard boiled and dyed Easter eggs found.
A shot of jelly beans. Gio opened his plastic egg and emptied it's contents, jelly beans, quickly into his mouth.
Dad got chocolate covered cherries, his favorite, for Easter. Gio helped him find and open it.
I bought the book Coyote Concert On A Full Moon Night poetically written by Carol Whelihan-Schererfor and illustrated by Amy Quamme at the thrift store for the boys when they got a bit older but Gio really likes to read it now. He sometimes mentions that he remembers listening to them howling off in the distance one night when we got home when we read it. And now when we read it he talks about how we saw one run accross a field recently. We brought it over to Nana'as recently so she could enjoy it too.
When I took Fancy outside this morning the sun was shining brightly, there were rabbit tracks everywhere, and all I could hear was birds chirping. I took a deep breath and smiled. What a wonderful day.
